Blackline Plate LSD – 18 Spline (Ford English Axle)

A true motorsport Ford English 18 spline plate limited slip differential designed for fast road, rally, sprint and circuit use.

Supplied with a 30/90 high-torque ramp configuration and 60 lb/ft preload as standard, this unit delivers aggressive locking under acceleration while maintaining stability under braking. It provides maximum traction even when one wheel becomes unloaded, making it ideal for competition and high-power builds.

Built for strength, durability and consistent performance in both high-grip and loose-surface environments.

Vehicle Fitment – Ford English Axle (18 Spline Heavy Duty)

Suitable for vehicles fitted with the removable carrier type Ford English axle running upgraded 18 spline heavy-duty half shafts (commonly 4.3” competition shafts).

Common applications include:

• Ford Escort Mk1 (1968–1974) – competition / rally builds

• Ford Escort Mk2 (1975–1980) – competition / rally builds

• Ford Anglia 105E / 123E (1959–1968) – modified vehicles

• Ford Cortina Mk2 (1966–1970) – upgraded English axle builds

• Kit cars using Ford English axle with heavy-duty 18 spline half shafts

⚠️ Important:

Most standard road cars originally used 22 spline English axle or 16 spline Atlas axle.

This 18 spline version is normally found in motorsport or upgraded heavy-duty axles.

English axle identification:

The Ford English axle features a removable front-loading differential carrier bolted into its own separate housing. Oil capacity is approximately 1.1 litres.
